Effective September 27, 2026. Provisional version.
These terms govern your use of saadsignal.com and of the Saad Signal newsletter. By reading the site or subscribing, you accept them.
1. Who publishes this
Saad Signal is published by Pedro Henrique Saad Messias de Souza, BRASÍLIA, BRAZIL. Contact: saad@saadsignal.com.
Saad Signal is an independent publication. It is not a law firm, is not operated by one, and does not offer legal services. Where a contributor’s professional affiliation is stated, it identifies the author and does not make their employer a publisher of anything here.
2. This is not legal advice
Everything published on Saad Signal is general commentary on Brazilian law, regulation and markets. It is not legal, tax, accounting or investment advice, and it is not an opinion on your situation.
Reading the site, subscribing to the newsletter, or writing to us does not create a lawyer-client relationship, and no such relationship arises until it is agreed in writing under a separate engagement. Do not send confidential or privileged information through this site or to the addresses published on it. Information sent to us is not treated as confidential.
Act on a specific matter only after taking advice from a professional qualified in the relevant jurisdiction.
3. Accuracy, and the date on the page
Brazilian law changes quickly, and often with immediate effect. Each piece reflects the position at the date shown on it, and is not updated as the law moves unless the update is published as a separate note.
We take care with sources and figures, and we correct errors openly, with a note at the foot of the piece. Even so, the content is provided as it is, without warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for any purpose. To the extent Brazilian law permits, we exclude liability for any loss arising from reliance on it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, nor does it affect rights a consumer has under mandatory law.
4. Guest contributions
Pieces published under Other Signals and similar sections express the views of their authors, not of Saad Signal or of its editor. Publication is not endorsement. Authors are asked to disclose any interest in what they write about, and a disclosed interest appears with the piece.
5. Our content, and what you may do with it
Text, charts, images and the design of the site are protected by copyright and are owned by the publisher or, for guest pieces, by their authors, who license them to us.
You may: read, print and share links freely; quote a short passage with the author’s name, the title and a link to the original; and cite our figures with attribution.
You may not, without written permission: republish a piece in full or in substantial part, whether or not attributed; translate it for publication; remove or alter bylines, dates or credits; or present our content as your own or as another organisation’s.
Text and data mining. The publisher expressly reserves all rights to reproduce and extract from this site for text and data mining, including for training or fine-tuning machine learning or generative artificial intelligence systems. This reservation is made for the purposes of Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 and any equivalent provision. Automated collection, scraping or bulk downloading for those purposes is not permitted.
6. If you submit a piece
Sending a pitch or a draft is an offer, not an agreement. We are under no obligation to read, respond to or publish anything, and unsolicited material is not treated as confidential.
By submitting, you confirm that the work is yours and original, that it has not been published elsewhere, that it does not infringe anyone’s rights or breach any duty of confidence or professional secrecy you owe, and that you have disclosed any interest you have in the subject.
If we publish it, you keep your copyright and grant Saad Signal a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, store, translate and distribute the piece and extracts from it, including in the newsletter and on social media, for as long as the site exists. You agree not to publish it elsewhere for thirty days after it appears here, after which you may republish it anywhere with a link back.
We edit for structure, length and clarity, and you see the edited version before publication. Nothing is published over your objection. Contributions are unpaid unless separately agreed in writing. We may withdraw or amend a published piece where accuracy, law or professional rules require it.
7. Using the site
Do not attempt to disrupt the site, gain access to parts of it that are not public, or use it to send unlawful, misleading or infringing material. Links to other sites are offered for reference and imply no endorsement or responsibility for their content.
8. Changes, law and forum
These terms are provisional and will be replaced. We may amend them at any time, and the version in force is the one published here, with its effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by Brazilian law. Disputes are subject to the courts of Brasília, Federal District, without prejudice to any mandatory right a consumer has to sue or be sued in the courts of their own domicile.
